Reborn Cabinets Designers Visit the Dacor Kitchen Appliances Factory and Design Center

When our Reborn Cabinets Design Team set out to visit the Dacor Kitchen Appliances factory and design center, they had no idea of the invaluable experience that was in store for them!

Located in the City of Industry, Dacor’s facility certainly stands out. So many American appliance companies have shifted their production overseas, but Dacor has held fast to their American roots, making sure to keep the vast majority of their manufacturing (and jobs) here in California. Our team was given an exciting and very detailed tour through the Dacor factory, which boasts over 90 highly-skilled Dacor associates who hand make each appliance that ships out.

One big highlight of this experience was getting to see the way Dacor bakes porcelain onto their appliance doors—they use a giant oven, capable of being heated up to 1,430 degrees!

Back in the Dacor design center the Reborn designers were treated to a delicious lunch, prepared by a Le Cordon Bleu chef. In fact, our team learned that Le Cordon Blue has actually named Dacor as an official recommend brand! After lunch, Mr. Kevin Henry, Dacor’s Director of Business Development, gave a lovely presentation. He explained that Dacor’s long-term success connected to utilizing advanced technology as a way of enhancing the culinary experience, and recognizing that, “…today’s definition of luxury is customization.”

Filled with the stunning high-end kitchen appliances that Dacor creates, their design center is proof of this for sure! Our team was given an up-close look at some fabulous pieces, including Dacor’s smart oven, which can be controlled from a smartphone, Dacor’s temperature-controlled wine dispenser, and a special insight into Dacor’s appliance color system, DacorMatch—perfect for that “out of the box” client that wants a purple oven in just the right shade!
